• Launch Announcement: Fishing Gear Coalition of Atlantic Canada

Over the past few months, Kyle & Jenn have had the opportunity to build the Fishing Gear Coalition of Atlantic Canada’s new website. The FGCAC brings together fishing and aquaculture industry members and experts to foster innovation, drive meaningful projects, and build action teams dedicated to shaping a sustainable future for our oceans.

While browsing the site you will come across:

    • An interactive Collection Sites Map showing all locations throughout Atlantic Canada where end-of-life PVC-coated wire mesh products (such as lobster traps, crab pots, oyster cages) and/or plastic rope and netting can be returned.
    • A wealth of information about the important work and projects by the FGCAC as well as resources for members and the public
    • Beautiful, intuitive, design that is displays seamlessly on mobile and desktop
    • A powerful Content Management System
    • Green scores across the board for Google Lighthouse measuring speed, performance, accessibility, and overall experience.

Harnessing the capabilities of WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE), we’ve developed an adaptable Content Management System. FSE ensures uniform branding across all pages, utilizing content blocks and template patterns designed exclusively for FGCAC. This enables their in-house team to independently handle content management and updates at their own pace at any time.

During this process we had the pleasure of working with the folks at the helm of FGCAC: Marquita Davis, Project Manager and Sonia Smith, Stakeholder Manager. Designer Katie Goodz of Katie Goodz Design rounded out our team and took the FGCAC’s vision and made it into a site they are excited to have and we are proud to show you today.
